Innovative Gear Design
The ML2000 family of precision gears utilizes Orbital Flex™. Motus Labs latest patented gear design enables zero backlash, linear torsional stiffness, and high load capacity in a compact gearbox. The foundation of Orbital Flex™ is centered around a solid rigid preloaded cup orbiting within a ring gear to produce zero backlash. To offset the preload on the rigid cup, a compliance flexure is in place to smooth out the output, generating torque and linear torsional stiffness.
